Role Overview

Job Purpose: To ensure the delivery of mechanical services to the Client contract in compliance with the contract deliverables and KPIs.

Duties

• Responsible for all site mechanical systems, ensuring they are operated, maintained, diagnosed, and repaired to the appropriate statutory, regulatory, and Client standards.
• Reporting any equipment or performance issues to the Engineering Manager.
• Analyze testing and inspection data, reporting findings to the Engineering Manager.
• Work in conjunction with projects to control and maintain mechanical drawings, procedures, and certificates as required by EMCOR and the Client.
• Proactively engage in LCAM system reviews to ensure continuous improvement of systems under your control.
• Review data integrity in Agility / CAFM systems to meet or exceed statutory requirements.
• Participate in capital projects and site minor works (SMW) that add or modify elements of systems under your control.
• Provide specialist advice and support for all Technical Services management activities related to building services.
• Attend the site out of hours as part of the call-out system, in cases of emergency when requested by sub-contractors, security operations, or management.
• Assist in preparing specialist estimates and quotations as required.
• Manage allocated work orders from receipt to completion where applicable.
• Manage and monitor the QFM and Building Management Systems.

Person Specification

Skills

• Qualified to HNC or appropriate apprenticeship level in mechanical engineering.
• Hold or be prepared to work towards achieving Pressure and Confined space AP Status and other relevant appointments.
• Experience in installation, testing, maintenance, and operation of mechanical systems.
• Experience with standby power systems.
• Knowledge of safe working practices, permit to work systems, and GxP environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex issues.
• Knowledge of operational procedures such as timesheets, planned maintenance systems, and health & safety standards.
• Experience in resolving customer problems within specific contracts.
• IOSH Working Safely certification.
• Willingness to train and update skills for the benefit of the contract.
• A technician with gravitas and charisma to lead and motivate others.
• Empathy with customers and clients, with the ability to quickly understand their needs.
• Energetic and enthusiastic with a proactive approach.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, maintaining high technical standards.
