Equans is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our team in Liverpool on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. The salary banding is £41,000 - £43,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with a benefits package. A flexible allowance is available for short-term shift pattern adjustments upon management request.
What will you deliver?
  1. Complete all aspects of site mechanical maintenance and installation.
  2. Service, maintain, fault find, and repair mechanical equipment within the operational responsibility of EQUANS.
  3. Develop maintenance strategies aligned with site requirements.
  4. Maintain all plant and equipment at the Halewood Site in compliance with legislation, statutory requirements, regulations, and best practices, contributing to health, safety, environmental, quality, and customer service targets, including continuous improvement.
  5. Manage operational areas effectively, ensuring third-party contractors work safely and adhere to company and site procedures.
  6. Follow company procedures and standards as outlined in the Handbooks.
  7. Complete administrative functions accurately using paper logbooks or IT software like Maintenance Management System.
  8. Familiarize with all relevant company and site procedures and carry out responsibilities accordingly.
  9. Represent the company professionally to customers and external agencies, maintaining site and property cleanliness.

Who are we looking for?
  • ONC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Relevant experience and time served
  • Knowledge of maintenance management theory and practice
  • Experience with process and water distribution systems
  • Experience with compressed air systems and pipework installation
