Key Responsibilities And Duties:

• Effectively carry out a variety of maintenance activities within trade boundaries and authorizations, in accordance with current procedures as laid down in relevant approved source information.
• Contribute to team delivery of agreed targets and goals.
• Comply with current Tool Control procedures.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings.
• Carry out Improving Quality and Continuous Quality Improvement reviews.
• Support a climate of continuous improvement to assist productivity, quality, and lean methodology.
• Undertake training and train other team members to achieve maximum flexibility.
• Undertake work to the highest level of competence.
• Support team output by undertaking other duties as required.
• Work within and promote the Behavioral Competencies.
• Ensure all procedures related to foreign object debris control are followed.
• Mentor and train apprentices as needed.

Competencies:

Core

Essential: Team worker with the ability to interact fully with team members. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable: Ability to provide advice as a subject matter expert.

Functional

Essential: Full understanding and compliance with the Quality Management System. Active participation in continuous improvement activities.

Organizational Relationships:

Reports directly to the Front-Line Manager.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:

Essential qualifications include recognized indentured apprenticeship or military equivalent, Human Factors training, experience working with drawings and approved source information, and understanding of Military MRP 145 and related regulatory requirements.

Desirable qualifications include a suitable engineering qualification in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, previous experience with independent inspections, Cat B or Certifier authorizations, and previous Chinook mechanical experience.

Experience:

Experience in a Base maintenance Mechanical environment is advantageous.
