Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy from Waste servicing company in the UK to recruit a Mechanical Technician for the East Midlands. This permanent, hybrid role involves UK travel and offers a salary around £55,000 plus overtime and flexible working arrangements.

If you're an apprentice-trained Mechanical Technician with power generation experience, you will join a company that values attitude, hard work and rewards commitment with flexibility.

Competenze

• An apprentice trained mechanical engineer with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience working as a mechanical technician in the power industry, or a similar heavy industrial setting.
• Previous experience working on Biomass or Energy from Waste power stations.

Mansioni

• Carry out mechanical maintenance activities across various Energy from Waste power stations, including major servicing works, planned outages and general maintenance.
• Conduct site inspections and define detailed scopes of work in collaboration with the Site Supervisor.
• Execute maintenance activities independently and as part of a wider site team, coordinating workloads and resources where required.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, health and safety requirements and quality management procedures.
• Prepare RAMS and other relevant Health and Safety documentation.
• Coordinate activities with internal teams, site supervisors, clients, external partners and suppliers to ensure effective project delivery.

Responsibilities Of The Mechanical Technician

• Carry out mechanical maintenance activities across various Energy from Waste power stations, including major servicing works, planned outages and general maintenance.
• Conduct site inspections and define detailed scopes of work in collaboration with the Site Supervisor.
• Execute maintenance activities independently and as part of a wider site team, coordinating workloads and resources where required.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, health and safety requirements and quality management procedures.
• Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and other relevant Health and Safety documentation.
• Coordinate activities with internal teams, site supervisors, clients, external partners and suppliers to ensure effective project delivery.

Required Qualifications And Experience

• An apprentice trained mechanical engineer with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience working as a mechanical technician in the power industry, or a similar heavy industrial setting.
• Previous experience working on a Biomass or Energy from Waste power station

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working on projects managing contractors

Salary And Benefits

• Salary: £55,000
• Contract: Permanent
• Working pattern: hybrid working, with weekends and nights sometimes required
• Location: East Midlands, hybrid with UK travel
