£30,000 per annum

37.5 hours per week (Overtime Available)

Monday to Friday





Job Description


  • Reporting to the Assembly Team Leader

  • Assemble and commissioning of machines, machine modules and sub-assemblies using engineering drawings and 3d models

  • Follow all department procedures
  • Complete all quality documentation required for the tasks
  • Identify problems with assemblies / parts and raise any quality issues following the company procedures
  • Operate handling equipment and machinery when trained to do so
  • Support the sustainment and improvement of housekeeping and health and safety practices
  • Support in the implementation and sustainment of 5S standards
  • Assist in the achievement of the Assembly operational plan to include on time delivery and build efficiency
  • Actively drive continuous improvement
  • Any other reasonable request by the line management team



Requirements


  • Apprentice trained
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand Bill of Materials
  • Ability to understand mechanical design assembly
  • Previous assembly experience in a machine manufacturing environment
  • Experience of assembling large fabricated parts to engineering drawings
  • ability to handle a variety of parts including sheet metal, machined and electrical components
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good numeracy
  • Computer literate
  • Hold a counterbalance forklift license (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing (desirable)
