We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician for our client based in Basildon. The company design and manufacture production line equipment are keen to recruit a Mechanical Technician to carry out fitting and assembly work with occasional worldwide travel to install equipment at client sites.

Duties:

• Working from assembly drawings to fit and assemble equipment on the factory floor
• Work within a team to conduct trials and tests on machinery
• Piping, testing and fault-finding pneumatic logic circuits
• Carry out assembly, commissioning, support and service work at customers' sites
• Participate in specialist product training

Requirements:

• Good basic engineering skills including machining, fitting, assembly, fault finding and pneumatic skills are required.
• Must have a recognised Engineering qualification or have completed an engineering apprenticeship
• Must be able to work from assembly drawings
• Must be able to produce a high-quality finish and output level.
• The ability to work within a team with excellent attention to detail and good problem solving skills is a must
• Practical engineering experience, particularly in mechanical assembly and machining is essential
• Exposure to pneumatics & installation/commissioning work at customer sites would be a benefit
• Must be willing to undertake overseas travel on occasion
