Overview

We’re seeking highly skilled Mechanical Technicians with SC or DV clearance to join a project at a nuclear and defence facility based in Aldermaston, Reading.

Contract: 12 months

Rate: £38.17/hr (CIS)

Hours: Up to 12‑hour days, Monday to Friday — with weekend work available for extra earnings

Responsibilities

• Installation, assembly, and dismantling of equipment
• Plant operations and maintenance activities
• Working within both workshop and site environments
• Ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at all times

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• SC or DV level nuclear clearance (SC holders must be willing to progress to DV)
• NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline
• At least 2 years’ nuclear/defence industry experience
• Minimum 5 years’ mechanical industry experience

Desirable:

• Experience with Swagelok fittings
