Globalenergynetwork in Aberdeen is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to inspect, maintain, repair and test a range of mechanical and diesel-powered equipment, including customer-owned gear and hire fleet assets.
You will disassemble, diagnose and repair items such as jetting units, air compressors and pumps, and complete ATR documentation. A strong safety focus and ability to work to deadlines are essential.
Responsible for carrying out inspection, maintenance, repair and test of mechanical and diesel-powered equipment, both customer owned and within the hire fleet. Portable appliance testing of various electromechanical machines.
Be disciplined in completing mandatory training assigned relevant to the role designed to help protect the safety and security of the organisation and its employees.
A sound working knowledge of various Mechanical and Pneumatic Tooling, Blasting Equipment, Air Driven transfer pumps, paint pumps and diesel equipment would be beneficial.
Key skills and competencies include:
Mechanical aptitude, ability to disassemble and assemble various mechanical and tooling equipment.
Able to read and understand equipment manuals and parts lists.
Experience with maintaining and repairing a wide range of HP and UHP Jetting Units, Air Compressors, Pumps and Diesel drive equipment.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Ability to work to a high standard of workmanship.
Good communication skills
Work to tight deadlines in a safe and accurate manner.
You will be enthusiastic, committed and hard-working with previous experience in a fast-paced environment and have a mechanical aptitude, be thorough, methodical and adaptable. A reliable self-starter who can work independently as well as within a team.
