Job summary

Amcor Limited is seeking a Mechanical Team Lead to manage the Mechanical Maintenance Department within the Swansea plant. You will lead a team, deliver world-class service, and ensure safety, quality and productivity targets are met in a fast-paced packaging operation.

The role requires a time-served craftsman with at least 5 years of manufacturing experience, plus supervisory capabilities and strong communication skills. On-site role with shift flexibility and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Time served craftsman with minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Supervisory experience will be an advantage.
• Manufacturing Engineering experience (Standard Operations, plant layout, waste elimination, continuous improvement, engineering change control).
• Small capital expense project management capabilities.
• Flexibility on working hours to meet business demands.
• Decision making, sound business judgement; team oriented.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Mechanical Maintenance team, ensuring team members are developed, challenged and upskilled.
• Deliver world class service to customers through the Mechanical Maintenance Department.
• Meet departmental targets—safety, quality, hygiene, productivity, waste and costs.
• Identify, implement and recommend areas for ongoing service improvements.
• Oversee Planned Maintenance, machine changeovers and downtimes with Planning.
• Liaise with Supervisors to ensure smooth production area operations and with Engineers to improve process capability.
• Prepare monthly maintenance reports and highlight findings to Senior Management.
