Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Hardware Engineering team based in Dundee. This team develops and supports complex Mechatronic devices used in banking machines (ATMs) deployed worldwide.

We are seeking a Test Engineer to work as part of a cross-functional design team on development projects that deliver new devices and improvements for high-availability solutions operating 24/7.

The role involves planning and executing tests, analyzing results, and reporting using the latest technology and data-driven continuous improvement principles. A background in Mechatronics or Software is required, with basic hands-on mechanical and electronics skills being advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for evaluating early design concepts
• Modify and write test scripts
• Capture, analyze, and report test data and results
• Set up and build test rigs to support rapid development cycles
• Test and debug designs to ensure they meet specifications
• Recommend solutions based on testing outcomes

The successful candidate will be highly focused, self-motivated, and interested in developing system tests and using data to validate product performance. Knowledge and understanding in the following areas are desirable:

• Test planning and execution
• Data analysis and result reporting (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Test software scripting
• Test automation and robotics
• National Instruments LabVIEW software
• Electromechanical systems
• Basic mechanical and electronics practical skills (assembly, soldering)
• Motors, sensors, and control systems

Qualifications
