Mechanical & Sustainability Engineering at Powell Fenwick

Our well-established Mechanical team is renowned for delivering high-quality engineering solutions and exceptional service and our growing Sustainability team are known for their high-quality solutions and first-class service. From one project to the next, you could find yourself working on universities, sports centres, hospitals, aquatic facilities, and more—each offering unique challenges and opportunities.

You’ll collaborate closely with clients, project managers, architects, councils, and contractors, while also providing vital support to our Mechanical & Sustainability teams and working alongside other disciplines across the business.

Being a part of the sustainable design team at Powell Fenwick offers opportunities in building computer simulation, carbon emissions calculations, green project design and certification, and understanding and improving real world operation. We work closely with clients, project teams, and our wider company team with a goal to make sustainable design integrated in as many projects as possible. About you

  • Hold a tertiary degree in mechanical engineering, or similar
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in IES modelling with Apache HVAC or equivalent.
  • Have an understanding and passion for sustainable design principles.
  • Ideally will have experience in designing HVAC systems, such as, humidity and BMS
  • Have great attention to detail
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally in person, and in written work
  • Able to work collaboratively with both clients and team members
