Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) is recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor (Plumbing) for HMP Pentonville. The role is full-time, permanent, based on site with oversight of plumbing and building services.

Salary £50,274.58 plus a 5% basic salary recognition for shift and weekend work, reflecting the critical nature of the role in a high-security facility. The candidate will work among Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters and other trades, supporting safe operation and rehabilitation-focused

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience as a plumber or equivalent is required.
• Familiar with Water Supply Regulations and Legionella L8 requirements.
• Experience supervising staff on commercial/industrial heating and water or building services systems.
• Plumber qualifications listed (C&G 6035, C&G 6189, NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing).
• Good Health & Safety knowledge and relevant qualifications are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise plumbing and building services operations at the site.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
• Coordinate and supervise plumbing staff and contractors.
• Assist in maintaining reliable heating and water systems for the facility.
