This is a unique opportunity in our Northampton branch. As the branch expert in Heating, M&E and in particular Gas Safe compliance, you will support customers looking for a more comprehensive service than solely Air Conditioning or Refrigeration service and maintenance.

The Northampton branch is conveniently located on the Brackmills Industrial Estate, close to the A428 and the A45 and has plenty of free parking. You will be based at the branch but will also need to go out to sites to see customers or sub-contractors as required.

The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager and Project Manager, your main purpose will be to oversee the mechanical installations, service, and maintenance requirements for our customers.

A large part of the role will be managing sub-contractors, including sourcing, planning, and allocating jobs as well as making sure that the job is done to the standards expected.

You will plan works including PPM and reactive works, assist in sourcing parts, preparing quotes, and conducting site surveys.

Assist in planning new installs ensuring the correct compliance is met.

You will be the branch Gas Safe compliance expert, making sure that sub-contractors are compliant.

You will form a close relationship with customers, responding to their requests, visiting sites as needed, and liaising with them when setting up PPM contracts.

What do we need from you?

• Demonstrable experience as a Senior Commercial Gas Engineer or Mechanical Supervisor.
• You will have some experience off the tools in a supervisory capacity, overseeing and project managing jobs.
• Ideally, you will already be Gas Safe Registered or willing to train to do so.
• An additional training qualification in a related discipline will be an advantage.
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• Fully computer literate and experienced in working on CRM and database systems.
• You may also have experience in the following: Mechanical Supervisor, Gas Safe Engineer, Heating and Mechanical Specialist, M&E Supervisor, Senior Commercial Gas Engineer, HVAC Supervisor, Mechanical Services Manager, Building Services Engineer, Plumbing and Heating Supervisor, Gas Compliance Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, PPM Coordinator, Mechanical Contracts Supervisor, Mechanical Installations Manager, etc.
