Job summary

JLL is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee gas systems and HTHW installations at Culham Campus. You will lead maintenance, inspections, and safety compliance across high-spec facilities to ensure reliable operation of gas equipment.

The role requires at least three years' boiler experience and a current Gas Safe Registration for commercial and domestic installations, with proven ability to manage complex safety-critical plant environments.

Qualifications

• Current Gas Safe Registration for commercial and domestic installations (must be maintained).
• CODNCO1 - Natural gas core competency.
• CIGA1 - Combustion performance analysis.
• ICPN1 - Installation of meters and emergency controls.
• TPCP1 and TPCP1A - Non-domestic gas safety and pipework up to 35mm and over 35mm.
• Relevant burner qualifications appropriate to the plant installed on site.
• BOAS - Burner technician competency.
• AP10 - Medical gas systems qualification.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and servicing of gas systems and associated equipment.
• Regular plantroom and plant inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Support emergency response planning and incident management.

Role Overview

JLL is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our facilities management team at Culham Campus. This critical role involves overseeing commercial and domestic gas systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all gas-fired plant and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence across the campus.

The Mechanical Supervisor will manage all aspects of gas system maintenance, inspection, and emergency response, working within a high-specification technical environment that requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to stringent safety protocols.

The role involves working on high-temperature hot water (HTHW) systems, requiring specialised knowledge and experience to manage these complex installations safely and effectively. You will also be expected to maintain comprehensive records of all work undertaken, including training records and maintenance logs, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Supervisor will undertake a range of duties including maintenance, and servicing of gas systems and associated equipment. This includes conducting regular plantroom and plant inspections to ensure optimal system performance and identify any potential issues before they escalate.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must hold current Gas Safe Registration for both commercial and domestic installations. This is an essential requirement for the role and must be maintained throughout employment.
