Job description

Astute's Power team is partnering with a large-scale European Engineering and Construction company to recruit a Mechanical Supervisor to look after the Steel Erection package on a 12-month contract for its Scotland site.

The Mechanical Supervisor role comes with competitive rate per day.

Key skills:

Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and mechanical crews involved in:

Structural steel erection (frames, platforms, supports)

Installation of large-bore and small-bore ducting systems

Assembly and installation of ACC units and associated pipework

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with site HSE procedures and industry best practices

Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements

Monitor progress against project schedules and provide daily/weekly reports

Inspect mechanical works to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications

Raise and manage site queries, non-conformances, and technical issues

Liaise with engineering, planning, quality, and safety teams

Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety briefings

Ensure materials and equipment are available and correctly stored or handled

Support commissioning and handover activities as required
