Job summary

DT Source Limited in Bracknell is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to lead mechanical subcontractor packages within a major data centre project. You will oversee ventilation, pipework and air conditioning works, ensuring safety and programme compliance.

The role focuses on package management rather than direct line management, supervising ~10-12 operatives and coordinating with subcontractors to deliver commissioning-ready systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Supervisor.
• Previous Data Centre experience.
• Strong experience managing mechanical subcontractors and packages.
• Experience across ventilation, pipework and air conditioning systems.
• Able to identify and manage technical issues through to resolution.
• Experience taking mechanical works/issues through to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical subcontractor packages (ventilation, pipework/piping, air conditioning) and related works.
• Supervise approximately 10–12 operatives to ensure delivery in line with programme.
• Ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for mechanical services.

Mechanical Supervisor - Data Centre - Bracknell

Location: Bracknell
Start: ASAP
Contract: 6-month rolling contract
Rate: £31.50 per hour
Hours: 45-50 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:30/17:00

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a major Data Centre project in Bracknell.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing specialist mechanical subcontractors delivering packages including:

• Ventilation
• Pipework / Piping
• Air Conditioning
• Associated mechanical services
• Testing and commissioning activities

This is primarily a subcontractor and package management role rather than a direct man-management position.

You will oversee approximately 10-12 operatives working through the mechanical subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, correctly and in line with programme requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Supervisor
