Job Description:

BWGM Joint Venture combines the water sector skills and experience of two RSK companies, Binnies UK and WGM Engineering. This partnership offers extensive engineering expertise and in-house fabrication facilities. BWGM provides a self-delivery design and build approach for various projects including non-infrastructure, turnkey, and process plant integration.

Our strategy emphasizes quality, safety, innovation, and community engagement. The role's purpose is to supervise and lead site staff to ensure project completion as per client requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborate with the Site Manager on operational activities.
  2. Plan and supervise project teams and subcontractors.
  3. Coordinate with Project Engineers to prioritize tasks.
  4. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  5. Manage daily site activities and personnel.
  6. Participate in daily briefings and ensure proper permits and documentation.
  7. Maintain productivity and quality standards.
  8. Support the Construction Manager and deputize when needed.
  9. Prepare risk assessments and method statements.
  10. Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned.
  11. Build client relationships and provide project updates.
  12. Ensure performance indicators are met and work fronts are available.
  13. Mentor and develop team members.
  14. Promote high standards and safety compliance, including electrical safety training.

Qualifications include an engineering degree or equivalent, relevant safety certifications (CSCS, SSSTS/SMTS, Temporary Works Supervisor), supervisory experience, and knowledge of construction safety controls. Experience in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, planning software, and water/wastewater projects is desirable.
