Job description

Are you looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to join us at Wythenshawe. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will ensure that all planned preventative and reactive maintenance operations relating to Mechanical & Plumbing services are carried out in accordance with legislation, codes of practices, manufacturers' recommendations, HTMs, HBNs, H&SE recommendations and are completed to programme and within the contractual response times.

What you’ll do

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operation, direct management of directly employed trade staff and specialist sub-contractors.
  2. Ensure that all Statutory and Non-Statutory PPM work is carried out and is fully compliant with legislation, codes of practices, manufacturers' recommendations, HTMs, HBNs, H&SE recommendations, and HVCA.
  3. Produce rosters to ensure planned and reactive maintenance activities are assigned to DEL and sub-contractors.
  4. Carry out risk assessments for each maintenance activity and conduct a minimum of 5 percent check on live and completed works.
  5. Be an onsite champion for health and safety and ensure all policies and procedures, contractual obligations, and KPIs are adhered to.
  6. Ensure remedial actions required on repairs and PPM jobs are raised and completed; where necessary, advise the Operations Manager.
  7. Advise on fault finding on systems and instruct others as required.
  8. Ensure all Mechanical PPM records and any other relevant documents are maintained and updated.
  9. Assist the Operations Manager on operational and technical issues as necessary.

What you’ll bring

  1. Minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Building Services.
  2. Working knowledge of the site BMS systems.
  3. Good working knowledge of Health and Safety.
  4. Knowledge of F-Gas, Medical Gas, Regulations with adequate training.
  5. Full UK Driving Licence.
