A leading contractor in the water sector is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to manage large capital delivery schemes on behalf of Thames Water in North/North East London. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the water/wastewater sector and will be responsible for supervising workers, managing contractor progress, and ensuring quality assurance. This role involves significant responsibilities towards key project deliverables in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor capacity.
  • Ability to manage large mechanical packages of work.
  • Excellent supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise workers and Sub Contractors.
  • Manage contractor progress and reviews RAM's.
  • Support Site and Project Managers towards key deliverables.

Job description

Role: Mechanical Supervisor
Location: North/North East London
Rate: £500p/d (Inside IR35/Umbrella)
Duration: 12 months+
Sector: Wastewater

A Water/Wastewater contractor we are working with are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to support with large capital delivery schemes on behalf of Thames Water. They are a Tier 1 contractor and have multiple live schemes all of which are attached to Clean water sites.

The candidate will need to have experience within the water/wastewater or Energy sectors for another contractor in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 capacity.

you'll be attached to projects that involve pipework fabrication, Welding and inspection as well as understanding of P&ID's and GA drawings for pipeline snagging works.

The role is supervising workers and Sub Contractors, as well as being accountable for the successful management of large mechanical packages of work on an important projects for Thames Water. You will be expected to review RAM's, manage contractor progress and support Site and Project Managers in all elements working towards key deliverables. You will be responsible for quality assurance, management of permits and support delivery efforts.
