Job Description:

The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the mechanical installation of photovoltaic (PV) trackers, fixed tilt, floating, and special structures (carports) on a large-scale solar project. To ensure that work is executed according to the manufacturer’s installation manual, project specifications, and safety standards. The role requires close collaboration with the site manager, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders.

Key Tasks

• Oversee material delivery from suppliers
• Monitor installation works, piling, upper structure, module installation, cable dressing
• Possible interaction with other stakeholders such as engineering and surveyors
• Supervise and monitor mechanical works
• Monitor lifting activities
• Ensure quality inspections of materials (grain size gravel, concrete, steel, etc.)
• Comply with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
• Inspect works and their documentation
• Maintain the quality management system
• Support weekly and monthly progress reporting
• Report delays and breaches

Requirements

• Technical education in Construction or Mechanical Engineering
• 1-3 years of experience in construction, preferably in PV, but wind, gas, and oil sectors can also be suitable
• Strong expertise in construction
• Good expertise in MS Office
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of German (desired/beneficial), Spanish, French, Italian, or Dutch is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and stakeholders
• Familiarity with construction and logistics of solar projects
• Technical understanding of solar PV systems
• Willingness to travel up to 99%
