Job summary

Qualifications

Mechanical Supervisor - 12 month contract - RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire - £43.04 ph UMB or £32 ph PAYE (Inside IR35)

Role Overview

The post holder will be an experienced and skilled technician undertaking detailed maintenance activities on aircraft or aircraft components, demonstrating diagnostic ability. Responsible for maintaining airworthiness through task delegation and supervision, as well as personnel management.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Maintenance Manager and Team Leader in managing customer output as defined by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain aircraft according to the Statement of Work, ensuring delivery on schedule, standard, and quality.
  • Ensure all work meets airworthiness standards, promoting flight safety and compliance with airworthiness frameworks.
  • Conduct maintenance using approved data and tools, ensuring proper documentation and addressing issues with relevant departments.
  • Attend Engineering Management meetings.
  • Support flexible working hours, including night and day shifts.
  • Perform independent inspections as scheduled.
  • Provide support to the Team Leader and deputize when needed.
  • Manage and lead the team, ensuring adherence to policies, quality, health and safety standards.
Candidate Requirements
  • Knowledge of quality procedures, processes, and specifications; MAA (KR 640) experience essential.
  • Experience with Resolve system and raising System Enquiries.
  • Knowledge of scheduled servicing and EVM techniques.
  • Proficiency with maintenance documentation and associated tools.
  • Broad technical knowledge and leadership experience in aeronautical or related engineering fields.
  • Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering.
Security Clearance

SC & ITAR required.
