Typhoon Mechanical Supervisor
12 months rolling
RAF Coningsby
£32.00 PAYE / £43.00 Umbrella per hour

Morson Talent is seeking an experienced Typhoon Mechanical Supervisor for a long-term contract at RAF Coningsby. The post holder will be a skilled technician responsible for detailed maintenance activities on aircraft or aircraft components, demonstrating diagnostic techniques. They will ensure airworthiness through task delegation and authorization, manage work and personnel, and meet delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Maintenance Manager and Team Leader in managing customer output and maintaining aircraft according to the Statement of Work.
  • Ensure all maintenance is conducted per approved data and documentation, maintaining airworthiness standards and safety.
  • Attend engineering management meetings and support both night and day shifts.
  • Conduct independent inspections and support team leadership, including deputizing in their absence.
  • Manage people and ensure compliance with policies, safety, and environmental standards.
Candidate Requirements
  • Knowledge of quality procedures, KR 640 experience, Resolve system knowledge, and scheduled servicing techniques.
  • Experience with maintenance documentation and toolsets.
  • Broad technical knowledge and leadership experience.
  • Completion of an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, preferably in aeronautical engineering, with relevant aircraft platform training.
Additional Information

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. Shift work, including night shifts, may be required, with hours typically from 07:30 to 16:00 or 16:00 to 02:00.
