  • Maintain strong interface with HSE and quality control.
  • Support planning and sequencing of mechanical activities.
  • Participate in risk assessments and site audits.
  • Ensure correct materials and equipment are available on site.
  • Drive resolution of technical issues.

Job description

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a European based Electrical subcontractor to recruit a Mechanical Superintendent for 6 months for its Immingham site.

The Mechanical Superintendent comes with a competitive rate per day.


Key skills

*
Supervise and coordinate mechanical works on-site, including piping, plating, and steel erection.
*
Ensure compliance with all project specifications, engineering drawings, and UK regulatory requirements.
*
Oversee subcontractors and direct hire labour to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
*
Act as a key figure in implementing CDM duties for contractors, ensuring safe systems of work and proper control of work activities.
*
Lead Permit to Work and Putting People to Work processes in line with UK CDM best practices.
*
Maintain strong interface with HSE team, project management, and quality control personnel.
*
Support planning and sequencing of mechanical activities to minimise delays and conflicts.
*
Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and site audits.
*
Ensure correct materials and equipment are available and stored/used correctly on site.
*
Drive proactive resolution of technical or interface issues during installation phases.
