Job summary

1st Step Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for a 9 month contract in Penrith, Cumbria. The role involves overseeing mechanical work, coordinating installation, and supervising site trades to ensure safety and programme delivery.

Requirements include City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting, CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid at Work, with proven supervisory experience on commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising on commercial projects
• CSCS Skill Card
• SSSTS/SMSTS
• First Aid at Work
• Good literacy skills
• Previous supervisory/management role
• Capable of driving a project

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the installation
• Supervise Contractors and Subcontractors, ensuring training and H&S compliance
• Conduct toolbox talks and plan materials to meet programme
• Liaise with Managers on a regular basis and report on works
• Manage variations
• Ensure high quality of installation
• Carry out site surveys and snagging
• Manage paperwork: RFI’s, method statements, risk assessments, site diaries, progress reports

Education

City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting or equivalent
