Overview

Time 4 Recruitment are recruiting for a permanent Mechanical Site Supervisor to join a highly reputable M&E Contractor in South Wales. Our client designs and specifies both Electrical and Mechanical services for a multitude of projects in the commercial, industrial, government and healthcare sectors, providing an excellent reputation for delivery, quality and reliability of their services.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Site Supervisor to work as part of our growing mechanical division operating not only in South Wales but across the whole of the UK. This position is immediately available for candidates with previous mechanical site experience and that enjoy working as a site lead on commercial, new build and refurbishment projects across the UK ensuring that all aspects of the installation are completed to the highest standards, on budget and within the allocated timescale.

Not all our projects are in South Wales, so we are seeking individuals that would be willing to work away through the week – lodging will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with and be supported by the management team and report to the Project Manager.
  • Manage all aspects of the project at site level, including managing mechanical operatives, subcontractors, and the installation of various packages in compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Manage health, safety and environmental compliance on site, including carrying out toolbox talks to operatives and sub-contractors.
  • Ensure familiarity with and adherence to the company\'s latest policies and stay up to date with any changes to company procedures.
  • Ensure the installation is completed to the highest quality of workmanship using internal QA procedures to record and track the quality process.
  • Report on site progress and support the customer by attending site meetings; assist with commissioning and handover processes.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience as a mechanical site supervisor on large scale commercial projects.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heating and Ventilation (Commercial), Building Services Installer/Craftsperson or Plumbing Systems.
  • Overall knowledge and good understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods.
  • Previous experience of managing a range of subcontractors is desirable.
  • Good time management skills, the ability to multitask and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Good IT Skills with experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

  • Paid weekly in accordance with JIB National Agreement pay structure
  • £22 to £27 per hour
  • 37 hours per week: 8AM to 4PM Monday to Thursday and 8AM to 3PM Friday (excludes travel time) with 0.5 hour for lunch
  • Some occasional weekend work or overtime may feature
  • Location: South Wales (If required to work away, lodging will be provided)
