Job description

Are you an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor looking for your next role? Finlay Jude Associates is working with a leading company specializing in solutions across the water and wastewater industry.

Our client is looking to strengthen their Construction team with a Mechanical Site Supervisor based within the United Utilities Region.

You will report directly to the M & E Manager/Lead Site Supervisor. Your role will be to supervise and control all mechanical site activities efficiently, according to specifications and within the contract timeframe, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and delivering a quality end product with all ITPs completed as work progresses.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners, and visitors;
• Ensuring all relevant HS&E documents are correctly recorded, reviewed upon receipt, and are the latest versions;
• Checking that all relevant documents accurately describe the work to be carried out;
• Reviewing and commenting on Method Statements and Work Instructions as required by the Project Execution Plan;
• Supervising work to ensure compliance with Method Statements and Work Instructions;
• Recording the progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means when required;
• Recording all non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agreeing on actions with the person in charge of the works.

About The Candidate

Knowledge/Experience:

• Several years of experience working in the Energy sector, with understanding of pipework fabrication, welding, and erection; recognizing quality welding; ability to punch and snag pipelines in accordance with Isometric, GA, and P&ID drawings.

Education/Qualifications:

• HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or a good apprenticeship in pipework and welding, along with relevant experience;
• SSSTS
• CSCS
• First Aider
