Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager or Supervisor on commercial/industrial projects.
• Capable of managing independently on site.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with other trades.
• CSCS (Gold or Black) certification.
• Good understanding of H&S and site procedures.
• Able to hit the ground running and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical works on site, including HVAC, pipework, and plant rooms.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Report progress and issues to the Project Manager.
• Manage RAMS, permits, and site inductions.
• Coordinate with other trades and site management to avoid clashes.
• Attend and contribute to site meetings.
• Carry out quality checks and snagging.
• Report progress, issues, and variations to the Project Manager.

We’re currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager on a contract basis to manage the mechanical installation on projects across Newcastle and the surrounding area. This is a site-based role suited to someone who’s confident running mechanical packages and keeping things moving without being micromanaged.

Key Responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day management of mechanical works on site (HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, risers)
• Supervise mechanical subcontractors and direct labour
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to spec
• Manage RAMS, permits, and site inductions
• Coordinate with other trades and site management to avoid clashes
• Attend and contribute to site meetings
• Carry out quality checks and snagging
• Report progress, issues, and variations to the Project Manager

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager or Mechanical Supervisor on commercial / industrial projects
