Job Description

The Opportunity: 5-6 months contract working on a £4.5M project at Leeds University. Responsible for managing the mechanical services for this leading M&E Contractor.

The Position:

1. To receive and review drawings and specifications from client or main contractor.
2. To resolve discrepancies with the client.
3. To ensure work is carried out to a high standard.
4. To ensure each contract is maximised on returns.
5. To maintain good working relationships with clients and main contractors.
6. To complete company paperwork clearly and legibly.
7. To record variations to contract and provide information to QS.

The Person:

• NVQ Level 1 in Mechanical Installation.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in mechanical building services installations (HVAC).
• Demonstrated competence in the use of standard commercial communications and word/data processing equipment and applications.
• Commercial project experience would be a distinct advantage.
• Experience of managing projects from £500K to £3M in value.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and statutory bodies.
• Accuracy and precision in preparation of documents.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
