Job summary

PSR Solutions is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Site Manager to join a major commercial project in Cambridge. You will oversee the mechanical installation from site setup through to handover, coordinating M&E subcontractors and site teams.

The role requires proven site management experience on large commercial developments, with strong leadership and safety emphasis. Immediate start available on a 6-month contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mechanical Site Manager on large commercial projects.
• Experience coordinating M&E subcontractors and direct labour.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to drive programmes.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day mechanical installation activities on site
• Coordinating mechanical subcontractors and direct labour
• Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to required quality
• Attending client, contractor and subcontractor meetings
• Managing site health & safety and ensuring compliance with procedures
• Monitoring progress and reporting to the Project Manager
• Coordinating with electrical and main contractor teams for delivery
• Assisting with commissioning and handover activities

Mechanical Site Manager Required

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join a leading M&E subcontractor on a major commercial construction project in the Cambridge area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on Mechanical Site Manager to work on a high‑profile development, overseeing the mechanical installation package from site through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day mechanical installation activities on site
• Coordinating mechanical subcontractors and direct labour
• Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards
• Attending client, contractor and subcontractor meetings
• Managing site health & safety and ensuring compliance with project procedures
• Monitoring progress and reporting to the Project Manager
• Coordinating with electrical and main contractor teams to ensure smooth project delivery
• Assisting with commissioning and handover activities

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Mechanical Site Manager
• Previous experience working for an M&E subcontractor is essential
• Track record delivering large commercial construction projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred
• Ability to drive programmes and manage site teams effectively
