Mechanical Shift Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £43,043 per annum

Shift Pattern: Four on, Four off shifts – 6am-6pm/6pm-6am

As a Mechanical Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of our dedicated maintenance team, focusing on safety-first practices and supporting the Condition Based Maintenance programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain maintenance documents and drawings to ensure legal compliance.
• Utilize SCADA and HMI systems to monitor process conditions and assist in fault finding.
• Report poor maintenance practices and deviations from standards.
• Use CMMS for work orders, recording resources, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in mechanical plant upgrades, ensuring timely completion of CLEER/Capex forms.

Essential Criteria

• Strong fault diagnosis and rectification skills for systems and equipment.
• Ability to interpret PIDs and mechanical schematics, including pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Knowledge of rotating machinery, shaft alignment, and conveying systems.
• Proficiency with machine tools and hand tools used in maintenance.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Experience with PTW and LOTO systems.
