Job summary

A recruitment agency in the UK seeks an experienced Service Technician to join a dynamic team in Aberdeen. The candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining an extensive hire fleet, ensuring equipment meets high standards. Essential qualifications include mechanical experience, a clean UK driving license, and the right to work in the UK. This role requires participation in an on-call rota to provide support year-round.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical / diesel equipment experience.
  • Permanent right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair the hire fleet and customer's generators.
  • Perform all types of service and repairs.
  • Prepare equipment for hire, including load testing.
  • Support both technical and office teams as required.
  • Ensure work areas are kept tidy and organized.
  • Deliver and collect equipment as required.
  • Participate in the on-call rota for support.

Job description

Due to increase in investment and company expansion, we are looking for a Service Technician to join a fast-paced team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the servicing, maintenance, repair and testing of extensive hire fleet. Working from our client’s, you'll ensure their equipment remains at the high standard their customers expect. You will also be involved in any on-site service and maintenance as and when required. This will all be dependent on job locations, throughout Aberdeen and Shire as well as further afield.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and repairing the hire fleet and customer own generators.
  • Performing all types of service and repairs.
  • Preparing equipment for hire, including load testing.
  • Supporting both technical and office teams as required.
  • Ensuring work areas are kept tidy, clean and organized.
  • Delivery and collections of equipment as and when required.
  • Taking part in the on-call rota, providing support 24/7, 365 days a year.
Essential Requirements
  • Full, clean UK driving license with ability to tow trailers.
  • Mechanical / diesel equipment experience.
  • Mechanical background.
  • Strong team player with ability to work independently.
  • Permanent right to work in the UK.
