You will like: The Mechanical Safety Engineer role within the Product Safety department at the Uxbridge site. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of aerospace product portfolios through investigations leading to corrective actions and continuous process improvements.
This includes generating design concepts aligned with regulatory and customer requirements, including international and military standards, as well as company standards. You will produce commercially viable product definition information (PDI), such as 3D models and engineering drawings.
You will also plan workloads effectively, perform technical calculations, prepare reports, conduct design reviews, and present findings. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal designs is essential. Mentoring junior personnel may be part of your role depending on your skills and experience.
