Job summary

Rullion Managed Services in Eastleigh is seeking a Mechanical Rolling Stock Technician for a 12-month fixed term contract. The role involves mechanical modifications, fault finding, testing, and maintenance on rolling stock at a well-established rail engineering facility.

The successful candidate will have a mechanical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 engineering (or equivalent), strong fault-finding skills, and a proven track record in maintenance or production environments, with a focus on safety

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7am-5pm (40 hours per week), regular Friday overtime available paid at overtime rate

Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician looking for your next engineering challenge?

We're recruiting for a Technician to support a major rolling stock upgrade programme based at a well-established rail engineering facility in Eastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project offering excellent rates, regular overtime, and the chance to work with a highly skilled engineering team.

The Role

• Mecahnical modifications and upgrades
• Fault finding, testing and commissioning
• Preventative and corrective maintenance
• Mechanical repairs and defect rectification
• Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics
• Supporting continuous improvement and safety initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Mecahnical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong Mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working in maintenance, overhaul, modification or production environments
• Ability to read drawings and engineering documentation
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
