Job summary

Bilfinger is seeking a Mechanical QA / QC Inspector for the PUMA project in Hull. The role is site-based and focuses on ensuring the quality, safety, and integrity of mechanical systems installed on the construction project.

You will perform inspections, review piping isometrics and PIDs, maintain records, and work with engineers and contractors to resolve issues, while staying updated on industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess the installation of mechanical equipment in accordance with relevant codes and standards
• Conduct visual inspections to detect any defects or damage to mechanical equipment
• Compile and maintain the Flange Break Register
• Review and interpret piping isometrics and PIDs to ensure proper installation and alignment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures during inspections
• Prepare inspection reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions required
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to address any issues found during inspections
• Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, including inspection records, non-conformance reports
• Conduct final acceptance inspections for completed mechanical equipment / systems
• Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices.
