Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is assisting in sourcing a Mechanical Project Manager for London-based commercial building services projects. The role covers delivery from planning through to handover, with a strong emphasis on plumbing systems and coordination of subcontractors and client stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in mechanical projects, strong drawings interpretation skills, and a proactive approach to delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience managing mechanical projects in the commercial building services sector.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial mechanical projects from planning to handover.
• Oversee mechanical installations with a focus on plumbing and associated services.
• Control programmes, budgets, labour and procurement.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors and consultants.
• Review drawings and project documentation to ensure compliance.
• Monitor costs and variations to keep projects commercially viable.
• Perform site visits to monitor quality, progress and safety.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and final handover.
• Resolve technical issues across the project lifecycle.
