Mechanical Project Manager / Contracts Manager – Live Environment Projects
London & South East | £70,000 – £85,000 + Package
We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected and established M&E contractor that has built a reputation for delivering technically complex mechanical projects across the commercial, healthcare, and education sectors. Due to continued success and project awards, they are looking to bring on board a Mechanical Project Manager / Contracts Manager to lead multiple live environment projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project leader who understands the demands and sensitivities of operating in occupied spaces and thrives on building strong client relationships while delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead mechanical works across multiple live environment projects from pre-construction through to handover
Manage day-to-day site activities, subcontractors, and in-house teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Oversee health & safety, compliance, procurement, and commercial performance
Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams
Work within active environments such as schools, hospitals, or office buildings with minimal disruption
Support in forecasting, resource planning, and contract administration
Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards What You’ll Need:

Previous experience managing mechanical packages in live environments
Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities
Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Background working with an M&E or mechanical contractor
Sound understanding of HVAC, public health systems, and building services
SMSTS / SSSTS and valid CSCS card What’s on Offer:
