Job summary

The Bristol-based M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to deliver mechanical building services projects across healthcare, education and commercial environments from Bristol and the South West. You will lead projects from planning to handover with a strong emphasis on safety, budget, and client relationships.

Expect a mix of office and site-based work, with autonomy to drive project performance and a clear progression path in a growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple mechanical projects within M&E/building services.
• Strong background in mechanical and plumbing installations.
• Good commercial awareness and budget management experience.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of health & safety requirements (SSSTS/SMSTS/CSCS/First Aid advantageous).

• Manage mechanical projects from pre-construction through to handover.
• Develop project programmes, budgets and resource plans.
• Manage mechanical installation, testing and commissioning activities.

Full Time | Permanent

We’re working with an established and growing M&E contractor looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their Bristol-based team.

You’ll take responsibility for the delivery of mechanical building services projects, predominantly across healthcare, education and commercial environments.

The role offers plenty of autonomy and will involve a mixture of office and site-based working, managing projects across the South and South West from initial planning through to completion.

The Role

• Manage mechanical projects from pre-construction through to handover.
• Develop project programmes, budgets and resource plans.
• Manage mechanical installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, engineers and suppliers.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment.
• Monitor programme, costs, quality and overall project performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant health & safety requirements.
• Take overall responsibility for the performance of your project teams.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background in mechanical building services and plumbing projects.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Experience managing multiple mechanical projects
• A background within an M&E, Building Services or Mechanical contractor.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing installations.
• Good commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of relevant health & safety requirements.
• SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications would be advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
