Job description

Do you have experience delivering mechanical projects with a strong knowledge of MEP systems? Have you got experience of running projects £3m+?

An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Project Manager to join a market leading principle contracting company in the building services industry. This is to primarily work on a large refurbishment in Manchester.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that resources are available for work e.g. materials, labour and plant etc.
2. Ensure contracts are completed within timescales and budget.
3. Ensure works are carried out safely and that reasonable and practical measures are taken to maintain the safety of all involved.
4. Liaison with site management team and all key stakeholders involved with the project.
5. Subcontract and material procurement and management.
6. Financial management of contracts, variations etc.
7. Manage competence and individual performance within the team.
8. Maintain company standards in terms of quality.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years’ project management experience in an MEP contracting environment.
2. Ability to prioritise workload to ensure the management process is optimised.
3. Knowledge of HVAC systems would be a great advantage.
4. Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
5. Experience of working with sub-contractors and managing in-house labour.
6. SSSTS or SMSTS.
7. First Aid.
