Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager in Leeds to run a portfolio of mechanical installation projects in the commercial sector across Yorkshire and Manchester. You will manage on-site and remote engineering teams, supervise plant room equipment, AHUs, boilers and air conditioning, and report progress to clients and internal teams.

The role includes procurement, quotations, health & safety oversight, and liaising with stakeholders; salary up to £65,000 plus car

Qualifications

• Strong background in mechanical building services with commercial HVAC project experience.
• Experience across heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing.
• SMSTS / CSCS Card and full UK driving licence.
• Based within commutable distance to Leeds.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of mechanical installation projects across Yorkshire and Manchester.
• Oversee installation, refurbishment and fit outs of plant room equipment, AHUs, boilers and air conditioning.
• Lead engineering teams on-site and remotely, conduct site audits and ensure health & safety.
• Produce project progress reports and manage client communications.
• Procure materials and labour, and prepare quotations.

Position: Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £65,000 (DOE)

We have an opportunity available with an M&E contractor who have a background of over a century completing full turnkey installation projects and maintenance contracts within the commercial sector and have strong growth plans over the next 3 years.

Mechanical Project Manager Job Overview

• Running a portfolio of mechanical installation projects within the commercial sector including education, government, retail, and offices across the Yorkshire and Manchester region
• Managing multiple mechanical projects, with a total portfolio value of roughly £10m
• Overseeing the installation, refurbishment, and fit outs of mechanical equipment including plant room equipment, air conditioning, boilers, and AHU's
• Managing engineering teams both remotely and on-site, including completing site audits, managing health & safety, and providing technical support
• Liaising directly with clients and internal management teams and providing project progress reports

Mechanical Project Manager Job Requirements

• Strong background within the mechanical building services sector, with experience managing a range of commercial HVAC installation projects
• Experienced across a range of mechanical disciplines including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing
• Confident in completing quotations, procuring materials/labour, and managing on-site engineers
• SMSTS / CSCS Card
• Full UK driving licence
• Based within a commutable distance of Leeds

Mechanical Project Manager Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary up to £65,000
• £5k - £7k yearly car allowance
• 33 days holiday, including bank holidays
