Tier 2 M&E Contractor

Dartford, Kent

Are you an experienced Mechanical Project Manager looking to join a well-established and forward-thinking M&E contractor? I’m currently working on behalf of well respected Tier 2 MEP Contractor with a very strong presence across London and the Home Counties.

They require a driven and capable individual to lead and deliver high-quality mechanical projects across a variety of sectors, including Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Residential.

The Role

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to handover. You’ll manage both the on-site and commercial aspects of projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee mechanical installation projects ranging in value and complexity
  • Manage project programmes, labour, materials, and subcontractors
  • Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Ensure health & safety compliance across all aspects of the work
  • Track financial performance and variations, reporting regularly to senior management
  • Lead site meetings, technical reviews, and commissioning stages
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and site teams
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in a Mechanical Project Manager role within building services
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, heating, ventilation, and public health systems
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of budgets and costs
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant H&S qualifications
  • HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (desirable)
