Mechanical Project Manager

Client: My client has established themselves as one of the UK's premier M&E contractors. Following their formation almost 75 years ago, they have grown their turnover to over £200m per annum. The business boasts an envious track record of delivering some of the UK's and London's landmark projects. Typically, they specialise in major shell and core projects in sectors such as commercial offices, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and education. Despite their size, this Tier 1 M&E Contractor has fantastic staff retention rates with a reputation for looking after their staff. They offer excellent exposure and internal training schemes with a hands-on approach to developing their staff.

Role: Mechanical Project Manager - £70,000 - £75,000 + Car allowance + Package

Role/Responsibilities:

1. Programming
2. Technical Submittals
3. Procurement
4. Sub-contractor and Labour Management
5. Cost Control
6. Progress Reporting
7. Health & Safety
8. Project & Programme Implementation
9. Understanding of design and drawings
10. Technical & Progress Meetings
11. Regular Site Inspection and Snagging
12. Compilation of O&M Manuals

The ideal candidate:

1. Ideally, the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Multiplex, Mace, Lend Lease, and Kier.
2. The candidate will show longevity in previous employment.
3. Must be technically astute and a good people manager.
