Job summary

A leading construction firm is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for a large-scale project. The successful candidate will manage resources, budgets, and ensure compliance, contributing to critical equipment installations. Candidates must have extensive HVAC experience, the ability to obtain security clearance, and a solid educational background in Building Services. This is a senior role requiring strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in Commercial HVAC Mechanical installation.
• Ability to manage project teams within budget and schedule.
• Experience coordinating M&E Services installations.

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for a large-scale project based in Cornwall.
Region: South Wales & West
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000
Location: Cornwall

The Opportunity:

Manage the company's resources to achieve successful outcomes technically, commercially, safely, and to the client's satisfaction on the project.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Manage all Engineering Services activities in line with the company IPCD and Project Process Document.
• Oversee daily project resources and address staff issues.
• Manage project commercial issues and cost reporting (WIP).
• Ensure client requirements are met to their satisfaction.
• Represent the company on internal and external issues.
• Prepare detailed plans and procedures to administer the project.
• Ensure timely project reporting upstream and downstream.
• Regularly audit the project for compliance.
• Communicate with the project team on project-specific matters and initiatives.
• Manage project cash flow to remain positive.
• Manage procurement to achieve best value.
• Identify risks and manage mitigation actions.
• Issue reports: Health & Safety MDI, Monthly Project Review, and Project Manager reports.

What Our Client Will Need From You:

• Experience managing project teams to complete within budget and schedule.
• Ability to interpret specifications.
• Experience with procurement, labor, and sub-contractors.
• Stakeholder engagement experience.
• Experience controlling contract costs and variations.
• Experience coordinating M&E Services installations.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements, including method statements and risk assessments.
• Experience managing contract values over £2m.
• BTEC: HNC or ONC in Building Services.
• IOSH Directing Safely (desirable).
• CSCS card.
• SMSTS (desirable).

*Must have 10+ years experience in Commercial HVAC Mechanical installation within a large-scale and secure environment.*
