Job Title: Mechanical Project Lead

Salary: £80,000 - £95,000 annual salary plus full expenses travel to site

Company Description

A well-established and respected M&E contractor based in London is actively seeking a Mechanical Project Lead for their flagship commercial office scheme in Central London. This project for a tier one principal contractor will encompass aspects of both shell & core and CAT-A fit out of both mechanical & electrical installations with a project value circa £20 million M&E. This project is currently in the pre-construction stage with installations to begin this summer.

What we're looking for:

1. Candidates from a Project Engineering background.
2. Experience taking a project from inception till completion with a value in excess of £15 million M&E.
3. Looking to progress and commitment to a company's long-term growth.

Responsibilities/ Skills & Experience:

1. Effectively maintain client relationships to secure repeat work.
2. Proven ability to manage the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction phase through to successful project handover.
3. Managing on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure high standards of mechanical installation.
4. Lead regular progress meetings, and act as the main point of contact for mechanical concerns or design changes.
5. Overseeing procurement of mechanical materials and equipment, ensuring that all purchases align with project budgets and timelines.
6. Corresponding with the Site team, to monitor installations to ensure they meet regulatory standards, high-quality expectations, and project specifications.
7. Upholding health and safety standards on-site and ensuring all works adhere to relevant legislation and building codes.
8. Providing regular reports to senior management and clients, detailing project progress, forecasts, and any necessary adjustments.
