Job Description:

Your new company
You will be joining an established design and build contractor based in Leicester operating in the water industry. This multi-accredited contractor has a strong pipeline of work with multiple major water providers, including Severn Trent Water, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to recent major project awards, they are looking to onboard a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their business.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Leicester office with occasional site travel and flexible working.

Your new role
As Mechanical Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and delivering mechanical works on non-infrastructure water projects
  • Conducting site visits to monitor project progress and resolve technical issues
  • Developing project scopes and technical specifications
  • Preparing and reviewing documentation, including RAMS and technical reports
  • Overseeing contractors and suppliers, ensuring works comply with technical, quality and safety standards
  • Supporting project planning, scheduling and budgeting to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:

  • Proven mechanical-related project engineering experience in the water industry, ideally on non-infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of NEC form of contact
  • Full UK driving licence.
