Hays is representing an established Mechanical & Electrical Building Services and Maintenance company providing services in a variety of sectors. They have an immediate requirement and are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Services Project Engineer to work in their Engineering Services Department.

Your new role

They are seeking an accountable Project Engineer responsible for all Mechanical/Electrical engineering and technical disciplines involved in their projects. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Responsibilities include controlling cost budgets, managing labour resources, and improving margins set by the Directors. Projects typically include Hotel, Leisure, Retail, and Education & Healthcare sectors, with HVAC & Electrical installations valued between £100,000 and £2 million.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer or a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Ability to work on multiple discipline projects.
  • Project management and supervision skills.
  • Decision-making and leadership abilities.
  • Current engineering license.
