Job summary

Parsons UK is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our design and delivery team in the UK. You will support the design, development, manufacture, installation and commissioning of mechanical systems across diverse projects, reporting to the Engineering Manager, and developing practical competence in a fast‑paced engineering environment.

Based at our Walsall site with site visits across the UK, you will produce calculations, drawings, risk assessments and technical procedures while

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required (BEng/BSc Mechanical).
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and ability to interpret drawings and specs.
• Strong written and verbal communication and liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and specification of mechanical systems, producing calculations and reports.
• Produce and review drawings using CAD; create GA drawings, 3D models, P&ID.
• Support project engineers across all phases including procurement and commissioning.
• Prepare risk assessments, method statements and safety procedures.
• Test, evaluate and modify equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Travel across the UK for site surveys and installations.
