Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer

Type: Permanent

Location: Yorkshire
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience

SRG are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer with a strong background in maintenance engineering to join a successful and growing client based in West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with experience in project management and mechanical maintenance to play a key role in delivering high-quality projects while providing ongoing maintenance support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage CAPEX projects from concept through to completion
  2. Provide maintenance support for existing systems, ensuring efficiency and compliance
  3. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet all technical, safety, and regulatory requirements
  4. Use CAD software to develop technical drawings and designs
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues across steam systems and other related equipment
  6. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively along with the Project Manager.

Key Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
  2. Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  3. Knowledge and experience with steam systems and instrumentation equipment
  4. Proficient in CAD software and technical drawings
  5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
