MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER – ENVIRONMENT

WARRINGTON

What you will be doing:

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join Galliford Try within our Environment Business.

Ideally based in or around Warrington, with opportunities to travel across multiple sites/projects in the region.

As Mechanical Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing and delivering projects within the Water Industry from inception to completion.
  2. Conducting site investigations and surveys to inform design and construction.
  3. Managing stakeholders and third parties for smooth project progression.
  4. Securing permits and approvals for construction, ensuring safety and compliance.
  5. Maintaining a strong Health & Safety culture, adhering to CDM regulations.
  6. Liaising with multidisciplinary designers internally and externally.
  7. Working with delivery teams on integrated project delivery and design reviews.
  8. Producing construction documentation.
  9. Engaging with clients and demonstrating strong communication skills.
  10. Managing subcontractors during investigation and construction phases.
  11. Utilizing Common Data Environments (CDE) for process streamlining and compliance.
  12. Demonstrating commitment to sustainable development.
  13. Understanding NEC contractual requirements.
  14. Participating in progress and Cost to Complete meetings.

About You:

Candidates should have:

  1. Experience in full or partial project delivery, preferably in water projects.
  2. Relevant mechanical qualifications such as City & Guilds certifications.
  3. Experience in industrial installations.
  4. Knowledge of CDM regulations.
  5. HNC/D or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
  6. Understanding of current legislation, QA, and H&S protocols.
  7. Strong teamwork, communication, and feedback skills.
  8. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  9. Willingness to learn and adapt.
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  11. Strong organizational and client service skills.
