Mechanical Project Engineer

My client is a leading provider of Design, Fabrication, and Site services solutions to various industries across the UK, including Power Generation, Construction, Heavy Infrastructure, and Oil & Gas. The ideal candidate will have a background in Fabrication / Pipework with demonstrable Site Management and Project Management experience. You must be based within a commutable distance of Slough for this role.

Position Overview

1. Attend to clients' needs both on and off site, servicing projects from start to finish.
2. Quote clients' job requirements and seek approval via Regional Director.
3. Develop client relationships proactively to ensure project continuation.
4. Manage on-site activities, including coordination and supervision of tradesmen.
5. Manage resources in line with the project budget, control costs, and meet clients' quality expectations.
6. Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to.

Position Requirements

1. Experience in a Project Engineer or client-facing role.
2. Mechanical/Industry experience is essential.
3. Knowledge of steam, chilled water, and compressed air is desirable but not essential.
4. Experience with Process Pipework is essential.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD, design ability, and Microsoft Office.
6. IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
7. Ability to commute to Slough.
8. Full UK Driving License.

Remuneration

1. Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
2. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 6 pm (40-hour week).
3. 28 days holiday, including bank holidays.
4. Pension scheme.
