Burman Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estates Project Engineer in North East England, hybrid working arrangements. You will lead a team of mechanical engineers, oversee major capital and infrastructure projects, and ensure safety, compliance, and value for money.

The role combines strategic estate planning with hands-on project delivery, budget control, and stakeholder engagement to support the organization’s core operations and future-ready facilities.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent experience working in a building services environment).
• Proven experience managing mechanical building services infrastructure and leading technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety, and financial management within a complex estate.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide expert technical leadership and strategic oversight to ensure a complex, diverse estate remains safe, compliant, and future-ready. You will lead a team of mechanical engineering professionals, manage budgets, and oversee major capital and infrastructure projects that directly support the organization's core operations.

What you will do
